LAST NIGHT IT ALL CAME TUMBLING DOWN:

She'd built her card house so lovingly, so painstakingly,
But there was a wrongly placed card back in the foundation and,
Last night it all came tumbling down.

Those words reminded her of him, were him somehow,
And she had to get him back, had to let him know, but she couldn't and that's why,
Last night it all came tumbling down.

That obnoxious kid had a point and he pricked her bubble,
It was a beautiful bubble too: all sparkly and full of rainbows, but now it's gone and that's why,
Last night it all came tumbling down.

That little pillow of hers knows the full story: it houses the secrets,
The screams and holds all of her fluid, poor little pillow got a workout,
Last night when it all came tumbling down.

She can't go around in this world without her bubble, so she takes a step back,
And retreats back into herself: closes her heart - anything but again risk what happened,
Last night when it all came tumbling out.                                              written 31st July, 2013
